The Living Room...to live in!!!

The living room used to be the most unused room in the house. I guess it is because it was not inviting (according to my ineterior decorator Emily).

The new living room got a nice new paint job. The recessed downlights really create mood. The interior designer made me use to black leather couch (along with the rug) elsewhere. The fireplace has been updated with new tiles that matches the kitchen wall tiles to create continuity. The couch and coffee table were purchased at Crate & Barrel. The rug from some local carpet store who had a sale, but was perfect in terms of color. With the added color and some super minor placements of furniture, this is now a place where I like to read the paper and relax. I still have to purchase a floor and table lamp...I am eyeing one from Pottery Barn (when I have the money).
