EuroRail BOOKED!!!

After a grueling 2 hour phone ordeal with the booking agent...I have finally booked my train accommodations...and it costs US$610!!! OUCH!!!!!!

Nonetheless, I have one less thing to worry about. However, I realize that the train rides are not going to be as short as I thought. They range from 4 hours to 11 hours!! What am I going to do??? They probably will not have movies to watch...and I certainly will not be bringing my Powerbook along in case of possible theft.

Now...I have to deal with my very last leg of my planning...booking a place to stay in Prague. After that, everything is set!! Only a month and a half away!!!

Germany and Holland - Booked!!!

After long internet searches, I have settled down to book lodging at local hostiles (except for Amsterdam where I will mostly be living with friends). Most of my bookings are done at Hostel World.

I hope I am not too old to do this....but I will be living in a room with eight bunk beds...something like a dorm room, with endless beer parties in the lobby. Can be good...can be bad. I guess I will have to wait and see. I made my reservations based on location (in relation to the train station) and price. It seems that I am averaging $30 per night...but with the US dollar being so bad, I think I have to budget for $40. That sucks!!

For some reason, the days around May 4th is very hard to book in Berlin...I wonder if there is something going on around that time. I hope there will be some kind festivity going on. It will be totally awesome following the Queen's Day in Amsterdam.

Now I have to get Vienna and Prague down. Two more months!!!
