Rijksmuseum - EP version
Het Rijksmuseum toont met De Meesterwerken het mooiste van het mooiste uit eigen collectie. Ooops...better type English. Ever since December 2003, Rijksmuseum has been under renovation (to be completed in 2008), but the museum has assembled the very best of its collection in a 2 floor gallery off the main gallery called the Philips Wing... this collection are titled "The Masterpieces." The collection is to give a picture of the political, economic and artistic aspect of the Dutch Golden Age.
It has been 7 years since I last went to the Rijksmuseum... but I have always been impressed by its collection... The Rembrandt, Johannes Vermeer, Jan Steen, etc. I was bit bummed that Vermeer's 'The Girl with the Pearl Earrings' was not part of the Masterpieces.

For the rest of the day, I just went to the area between Leidseplein and Rembrandtsplein.... mostly shops. But everything is soooo expensive....except for McDonald's Chili Chicken Burger....1 Euro!!!

In the making of the movie "The Girl with the Pearl Earrings", I read posts saying that the painting is not very good indeed, but people keep gossiping about the story behind. Don't know if it's true.
