Uh oh....
As I was driving back to SF from LA, after getting off the boat, the heard on the news radio that during the time I was in Mexico, there was an outbreak of something called "swine flu." The boat made us sanitize everytime we enter a public gathering place, that I hope we are all okay...
View of LA Port from my Stateroom as the cruise comes to an end...
Great fun at Puerto Vallarta!
Puerto Vallarta, I guess, is what I have been looking forward to out of all the port stops.
Greeted by a local
Those who know me knows that I don't like heights. So doing excursions that brings me to "new heights" can both be exciting and scary for me. At this port, I joined the excursion taking me up to the mountains for some zip line action!!!
Dockey or Mule...you tell me!On the way up to the top of the mountain, we all rode mules (or are they donkeys, I cannot really tell). My mule was so slow that I was the last one to make it to the top. On top of that, the mule walked really close to edges which did not give me a good feeling.
Almost look like a pro...but I was hella scared...I was so afraid that I might be one of the persons who gets stuck in the middle of the zip line course and the leaders will have to come and rescue me. Fortunatetly, I was easier than I thought. Zipping between hills and over waterfalls were so exciting and exhilarating....I felt like I was in one of those adventure movies where the protagonist had to flee from enemies.
Last Supper made of sand at the beach front
OH NO....Senor Frog is here, too!!!
A view of PV from my Stateroom
Mazatlan....why did we stop here?
There really isn't much to say about Mazatlan. It was outright boring. This is suppose to be some kind of resort town, but since I don't play golf, it really means nothing to me. I just walked and walked around town looking at really nothing. The museums had nothing and the churches are like any other Catholic churches I have seen in the past.

Don't even care what church this is...
Nonetheless, I did get to meet SeƱor Frog.
It's Senor Frog!!!!!
Sitting at an old restored theatre...borrrrring...I hurried back onto the boat after a late lunch (which was the highlight) to attend the ice cream social.
Bye bye Mazatlan...not coming back anytime soon!!
Cabo San Lucas Beach and Snorkling
The tender boats took us all on shore to Cabo. Groups are divided according to each party's excursions. I signed up for some kayaking and snorkling near Land's End. The paddling to this Land's End was a bitch....and took some effort. However, the energy exerted was most definitely worth it. The beach was beautiful, but the sand was hella hot...especially since I had no sandles. Not too smart.
Welcome to Cabo!!!!
Sittin' by the Dock of the Bay...
Cove at the Land's End...don't go near there or you'll get sucked in...On the beach, there was a camera crew shooting some hot couple making out. My guess was that they were filming one of those Latino soap operas I sometimes see on TV.
Another NG Take...the actress could not stop laughingMy experience in snorkling back in Phuket made it easier for me this time...although there was hardly any fish. Everyone was signalling each other if we saw any. I am just glad there was no fish nibbling at me this time. I am still a bit paranoid of some shark or jellyfish attack.
A Trip to Mexico
This one week trip is basically a cruise that sets off from LA down to the Mexican Riviera between April 18 to 25. I am not a huge fan of Mexico. It has been almost 30 years since I have set foot on its soil. I still recall those days where my Mom and Dad had a fight because my Dad refused to stop at the border to let my Mom look at the roadside pottery sale. That was the only thing I can remember...nothing on places I visited nor the food I ate. Hence, my expectation was kind of low.
The Norwegian Cruise Line
The cruise has three port stops: Cabo, Mazatlan, and Puerto Vallarta. I am at sea today...so not a whole lot of excitement other than ballroom dance classes and poolside parties.
The Atrium of the Ship
Nice hot day right from the start!!!
